When you work at a booth at the circus or amusement park where you have to guess people's weight for a prize lol... but really... UM... When you know the capacity for an elevator you're getting on might be close to exceeding the limit- you definately want to estimate weight. Buying groceries at the vegetable stand and its priced by pound.

1.a ball is flying at you. do you dodge it or catch it... if it's wiffle, catch. if it's lead... get the F*CK away from that ball...
2. you're drunk and looking for someone to go home with.
3. you're getting into an elevator but you notice the sign says max occup. XXXX pounds. you see there's already XX people on the elevator and you know you weigh XXX so you have to estimate the collective weight.

3) When figuring handicapping in racing

you may need to hull somthing large like a part of a ship and you need the right crane with the right strength to lift it

you need to counter balence somthing with somthing else with close to the same weight (a balence)

you job requires you to use a pick up truck and you need to estamate how much weight you hull every day to decide the truck to buy
