It all depends on how qualified and reputable your surgeon is as to how much it will cost. My employer had Breast Implants done and it cost her AU $9,000- including the hospital stay, etc. I am having a reduction with the same surgeon and mine will cost about AU $11,000-- the surgeon charged the same fee for the both of us, they usually charge a set price.

It can kind of go like this (in Australian dollars)

* surgeons fee-- $6,350
*Anaesthetist fee-- $800
* Assistant nurse-- $500

** Theatre cost-- $1, 800
** Hospital fee-- $700 ( this is per night)

For implants you will usually only need one nights stay in hospital and the actual surgery only takes 1 hour.

Good candidates for this procedure are those who are dissatisfied with their current bra size, or those with a disproportionate shape that can be corrected with breast implant surgery. If you don't have a history of surgical complications or adverse reactions to anesthesia, you could fare well with this and many cosmetic procedures. Also, those in relatively good health who also fully understand the benefits as well as the limitations of cosmetic techniques are good candidates. It is crucial to bear realistic expectations and to become prepared for the physical changes that will occur.
