The meaning of life is what you make it.
If your the happy type and understands people very easily,
Your meaning of life would probably be to help others and to learn to make earth a better place.
Those who just have multiple changes and is careful can probably find the meaning to life as to just have fun.
To me, the meaning of life is to just... Learn to corporate with things, to have pride, and honor. To be a human and not a person.
In general, to really know the true meaning of life, it should be in a free believer's view.
Viewing it from a Christian, Buddhism, anything religion - it corrupts the thought. That's why i am a free believer, i don't want to be locked by a specific way of thinking.

80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.
I've come to two conclusions recently:
1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.
First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.
Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.
So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.
To be or not to be? "To be" is temporary and "not to be" is inevitable.....

As humans we think of ourselves as the end of the line in evolution. As such we feel that our lives as individuals must have some greater meaning. When we consider that we as a species comprise a given percentage of the biomass based on our consumption as top predator this is an easy trap to fall into. The true meaning of life should be considered from the perspective of the biomass itself. We as humans have been around as a numerical percentage of the biomass for a relatively short span of time. Especially considering the length of time the biomass itself has been present on this planet as a "consistent mass". We are nothing more then an expression of the biomass. Another permutation that it's created in it's own game of survival and expansion. For the question to be relevant it must be asked "What is the desired goal of the biomass"? In this context the answer is simplicity itself. The goal is to expand beyond the confines of the planetary biosphere. To achieve this goal it is necessary to create a permutation capable of designing the next stage of evolutionary consciousness and humans with their mechanical ingenuity seem well equipped to do so. If, in fact, they don't destroy themselves in the process. It's been said that necessity is the mother of invention. The biomass is counting on that. That's why we were created so virulent.

my personal answer is quite simple, but not very short. Life is breath, (being biologically alive- reacting to stimuli, reproduction, metabolism and growth) life is also the ability to be completely satisfied. I know with all of my being that my life exists for the sole purpose of glorifying God and of ENJOYING Him forever. In that alone I find complete satisfaction, complete joy, a peace that surpases my own understanding and a passion to live a selfless life, not seeking to bring myself glory or fame but counting my own life as nothing for the sake of someone so much greater. Life is a gift and a shame to waste on seeking selfish pleasures that will not last. Life is about relationship, intimacy, love -and the most amazing relationship of all is to have an intimate relationship with a loving God and Saviour.

I have to agree with Caridad in saying that our purpose here in life is to glorify God and enjoy him forever. Here are a couple of verses which tell us of our purpose: The first is 1 Corinthians 10: 31: "Whether you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." The second is Psalm 73:25-26: "Whom have I in heaven but thee? There is none upon the earth that I desire beside thee. (26) My flesh and heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever." Throughout the Bible there are verses which declare that our chief end in this world is to glorify God and enjoy him forever.

What is the meaning of life?
------------------------
-Well lets just put it this way, if you were never born, you would'nt be here to ask this question. In other words,The meaning of life is to exist and to exist your parents had to meet, get married, have sex and have you so you can be here to ask this question in the first place.
Spock off of Star Trek also said which you all probably remember;
-"LIVE LONG AND PROSPER"
God basically said that also, "Prosper and Multiply", in other words have kids and grandkids and have a wonderfull life also.
______________________________
-WOW, somebody actually voted a thumbs down on my answer! Being able to vote a thumbs down on my answer means that you even exist to vote which means that IF you were never born, you wouldn't have the capability to vote which is the reason why existing is the meaning to life.

Life – it has a meaning and loving purpose - you just have to find your purpose and live it.
I believe every person is here for a definite purpose. Each person is special and valuable; that refers to me, you, your family, friends, in fact everybody! There is a loving plan for each of our lives here on earth and there is no such thing as coincidence. I don't believe that anything in life happens by chance and that every aspect of our lives points to something deeper.
You need to decide now to live for God rather than for yourself. You spend your life on Earth preparing yourself (as best you can) for death. I don't see death as a scary, negative experience, but birth into a bliss filled eternal life with God. I believe that this is something you have to consciously choose or not during your life on earth.
The meaning of life is for us to discover that we are true children of an infinitely loving God, to find out what our responsibilities are to our Creator, and to fulfill those responsibilities. Each of us is called to affirm, accept and develop the talents God has given us.

The Meaning of Life is To Give Life.
For The Meaning of Life is the answer to this question:
God, what is Your purpose of Existence?
For God's purpose of Existence itself defines the purpose of all that exists.
I asked God that question...
God answered, "My purpose of Existence is To give life. Since you are made in My image after My likeness, then YOUR purpose of existence is to give life."
Everything that exists is an expression of God's thinking; thus, everything reflects God's thinking.
God gives life by His unique existence, and receives life when He gives life. All of existence gives life by its unique existence to that which receives life from its unique existence. This is Nature - the union of all living (eternal) things.
You are here to give life by your unique existence to that which receives life from your unique existence. So do what you love that nourishes those who love what you love.
This is your purpose.
To give life.

there is no "meaning of life"
God watches us to see if we give life meaning
The Golden Rule is so simple and such a perfect way to live your life.
If you want God to smile upon you lead your life this way.
If you want God to laugh at you tell him your plans. ( I got that from some song)
If you ;
pray,
give,
love,
help,
share,
forgive,
trust,
care.......
You will truly be giving life meaning
