Where can I find the info on tides (e.g. for the last 2 weeks... lenghts, heights and so forth)? And when was the last neap tide and spring tide?

If you want to be 'quaint' look in the Old Farmers Almanac. The numbers are based on Boston but there are corrections for many other places. When I was still in the maritime trades we used the tide tables published by the Oceanographic Office. They can be a little hard to use if you are not familiar with them. As far as spring and neap tides are concerned, look at the moon phase notes on a calendar. Springs occur at full moon and new moon, neaps occur at the first and last quarter phases. There may be a slight correction for specific locations because of the shape and bottom configuration of the coastline. On large tidal rivers like the Amazon you will often have several 'tides' moving up the river at any given time because of the distances involved.
