Years ago people used to list hobbies and outside activities on a resumse. I was wondering if this information is necessary for resumes now a days.

It is if it is related to a good quality, either about your personality or business sense. I put on mine years ago about how I taught Youth Hockey in my town and that I was an Eagle Scout. It helped me get many a job.

No - never put hobbies on the resume, unless (and ONLY ) if it is directly and obviously relevant to the job being applied for.

Depends.

If you have experience it's useless information. But if you don't, your hobbies gives insight into the hiring manager on your interests.

Only if it is relevant to the position. Otherwise, only bring it up in small talk. And never bring it up if is something weird, like witchcraft or off the wall stuff.

It just depends what kind of job you are doing. If it's consired for that job. But is not necesary anymore because people say is not professional anymore.

it is really not acceptable anymore, unless directly relevant to an aspect of the job
