2x + 7x = 9x
3y^2 + 2y^2 = 5y^2
2x^2
= 9x + 5y^2 + 2x^2

Your answer is correct. What you are doing is combining like terms. Regroup all the like terms 2x + 7x +3y^2 + 2y^2 +2x^2 and you get 9x + 5y^2 + 2x^2.

the answer is 2x^2+5y^2+9x yes you are correct but I like it this way because it keeps me better organized and does show the expotential power takes precedence.
