Children arriving at home at around 6:00 have less light to play in, so they will be more prone to weight gain if they get home so late. Weight gain leads to serious health issues. So comming home later reduces time for organized sports this endangering the lives of the children. Also, it raises scheduling issues with parents that have to stay home with the kids until they leave for school. So the parents won't get to work on time, thus endangering their job status.

Use an introduction, really catchy. In your introduction, CLEARLY state your position (agree, disagree; e.g., I believe that the new schedule should be such and such/I believe that the new schedule shouldn't be such and such). In your supporting paragraphs, state evidence and why (your thoughts, why you think so, other people who agree, examples on why it should be what you think, etc.). Balance detail and description, and use the same voice, but vary in word choice. Remember CONVENTIONS! Stay on the issue throughout the whole composition, and refer back to your topic and your position. Avoid reiteration. Make it interesting. In your conclusion, EFFECTIVELY SUMMARIZE what your wrote, or rephrase your introduction using points from your support.

make a list of pros and cons of the decision. if you have more pros then your essay should favor that the school starts at 10 - your details would be everything you listed in the pro section. basically its the same thing with the con side.
