For some reason or the other, people need that validation. They want to feel like what they are doing or thinking is appealing to others. I find myself doing it a lot.

No, I'm a rebel and I don't really listen to what people have to say.
I tend to do things without discussing it with people, in the past I used to always ask people what I should do, then people would put their two cents in and I would listen and I have been burnt too many times, taking other people's advice who don't have the slightest clue what is best for me.
