On the way home, I found six worms that were in need of help. They would have drowned if I hadn't saved their lives. So I picked them up and brought them home. Now I am wondering where to keep them. It's raining outside, and they wouldn't be able to breathe if I put that back outside on the ground.

I don't want a huge worm box, though. Compost is smelly, and I don't want any. Does anyone know how to take care of worms? What do they eat that does not smell bad?

I think your worms would be very happy in your back yard.

You know those styro-foam coolers? Well when Iwas little I had a "worm farm". It was just a cooler with dirt in it and I think I had 7 worms to begin with. I have no idea how many there were when I gave it up...tons of them. anyway. I just put new dirt in every now and then (and took some out) and dead grass & leaves mixed in. It didn't smell.

and don't use carboard...they will eat their way out! :(

Put them in some dry-ish dirt until it stop raining then let them go. Worms are not meant to be pets!

put them in a small cardboard box. if you have potting soil you can use that too.
