Not sure, depending on under what circumstances you would like to see it happen.....

1. Randy Orton gets rewarded for his excellent in-ring and mic work, in addition to playing his part to the "T". This would definitely have Vince write a script up to have Randy win the title.

2. No other qualified wrestlers would have a successful "reign" as champion based upon past and present performance at PPV's, House Shows and Broadcast Live Shows. Randy probably proved himself as a hard worker and played "ball" with the WWE to earn the title.

3. This win probably did not have anything to do with Brock Lesnar because Brock is no longer on the WWE's payroll. Jake the Snake could come back and win it as the oldest champion and it still would not matter. Once you leave the WWE, you don't matter unless you did not burn bridges and there possibly could be a script or storyline that may include you in the future.

Brock was 25, was then the youngest WWE Champion ever (as of 2007, he is still technically the youngest WWE Champion ever, but Randy Orton is the youngest world champion in WWE history, having won the World Heavyweight Championship at 24).

Absolutely if brock lesnar did not sell out to leave the wwe he would still be the youngest. But brock lesnar is way better then randy orton he is way stronger then him but brock lesnar is even tougher because he does ultimate fighting right now he has heart to fight people with no script added at all.

Brock's still the youngest. Orton was the world heavyweight champion, not the WWE champion.

Yes, Brock was much better. He left WWE and that didn't make McMahon happy at all

Certainly, now who's better? Probably Randy Orton because he was smart enough to still be wrestling

Yes... Lesnar left the WWE and McMahon wasn't happy about it.

I think they did it as a way to get the belt back to Triple H. Since RKO did not hold the belt that long
