Some size and grit that aren't sissies and getting hurt all the time but at the same time can play. Guerin and to a lesser extent Laroque come to mind.
SABRE FANS- stop with all the "these guys will be back for the play-offs" talk. They will come back only to get hurt again with different guys going down, this is nothing new. The Sabres IR is a revolving door. There is a reason for this- THEY ARE A SMALL TEAM. They are built for speed, which works fine in the regular season but come play-off time, the physicality picks up and you need a better mixture of size and speed for the grind. SEE: LAST YEAR. Hello. All their key players are midgets who get killed in a 7 game series. No chance for them unless they add grit.

I don't believe that the Sabres should trade anyone. Sure, there are some players who could stand to practice a bit more and up their skill level, but the team is doing fine with what it has, and has all year. We already have 5 new guys from Rochester. The more new people that are added, the more new lines they all have to learn. Lets just stick with what we have. Most of the 8 injured will probably return during or before the playoffs. Once they come back, we'll be even better.

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Martin Biron became into traded to the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday for a 2nd-around draft p.c... The Sabres then circled and obtained Columbus Blue Jackets' backup goalie Ty Conklin in substitute for a 5th-around p.c.. in this twelve months's draft.

They should trade for a good solid stay-at-home defenseman who can dish out a few hits. This will shore up their D and help protect their talent from getting injured when the other team tries to get physical.
When you have a chance to win the Cup (as the Sabres obviously do) you should always look to make a move.

I don't think they need to trade for anyone. But I think they need to keep Kaleta up here, he brings the same kind of physical play as the much missed Gaustad. And as soon as Drury, Max & Kotalik get back the team should be good.
Trading Biron would not be a great idea, because if Miller gets hurt, who is the best backup to have?
Alyssa- His name is spelled Numminen & he's not going anywhere, he is older than most of the players, but he is still a great defensemen.

first of all who ever thinks we should trade TEPPO is a retard. hes one of out better defensemen behind hank and lyd but hes a solid defensmen. Hes probably going to retire soon =[ but that doesnt mean we should trade him. second we probably arent going to make any trades because marty played awful his last 2 games..we probably are going ot be silent in the next few days.

They may trade Marty Biron, but you never know. Alyssa, they aren't going to trade Numminen. He is one of our best defenseman, he may be older but he is a heck of a player.

Don't trade for anyone. When all the injured players come back they will be just fine.
