I am using MS Office, but I'm looking for something more writers-like ;)

Dramatica is a good tool. It really depends on what kind of writing you are doing- novel, prose, short story, script, etc.

There are all sorts of tools for exactly what you are writing.

You can't beat MS Word for an really good overall word processing program. The main thing you get is connectivity with everyone that uses Word. If you get an aftermarket or less widely used software program you run the risk of generating documents that no one but you can read.

But please don't get hung up on software. If you are a novice writer there are two things you need to do - two things only:

1. Write
2. Read

Read lots and lots of what you're planning on writing. Also read stuff that is not what you are planning on writing to get a well-rounded exposure.

Write and write and write - don't get hung up on it being perfect, just keep writing. Fill up journals and notebooks with plots and characters and stories, essays about the cup of coffee you had at Starbucks. Nothing is out of bounds.

Good luck and keep it up - being a writer is a VERY HARD way to make a living but also very rewarding.
