The short answer to that is BUY IT!! The long answer is as follows: If anyone tells you that you cant play the expansion without buying the first World of Warcraft then they are either n00bs or know nothing of gaming and expansions. You have to buy the orignal in order to play the expansion. The new world that opened with Burning Crusade is accesibly ONLY to level 58 players. Since you just started you are not level 58 right? Well unless you bought your account in which case...nevermind. If there is a way you can play it without buying the orignal that would mean either you get it from a friend that DOESNT play it anymore cause you cant use the same key twice or you have a hack. The latter is not a good idea cause you can get permanetly banned from ever playing WoW again. So there ya go. Pay 20 bucks for it and have fun!

Burning Crusade is the "Expansion" to World of Warcraft. Meaning, you MUST have World of Warcraft to play it.
If you want to play, you will have to buy WoW.

go to the site and u can download the first one off the free trial(after the trial ends u still get to keep the game so buying it is pointless! lol) Then install burning crusadee

haha You have to go buy the first one, I really don't know what to tell you besides that. It's only like 20 bucks now so at least you're not paying the 50 for wow and 40 for BC like most of us did. That's really all you can do...sorry.

You can join the Battleground as a party or raid by forming the group and having the party or raid leader enter the queue by clicking the "Join as Group" button.

you don't have to have the first one..... just to let you know it is waaay to addicting I couldnt get off it for 4 months we finally bought the Burning Crusades game after the 1st one and found out how addicted we was me and my bothers and sisters after paying 70$ after 3 days we burned the game its not a good game but if you wanna play it you dont have to have the 1st one

just find the first ones client somewhere, possibly blizzard i believe, cause they have the client for download, install it, and your good, so you dont have to buy it
