Most are scams, yes. Some doctors offices will hire medical transcriptionists to type out documents. Those jobs will hire you locally though.

Yes, they are scams.
You can get some freelance typing work through these websites:
http://www.guru.com and http://www.elance.com
I've been using Guru for almost 2 years now, doing writing and translations online. I'm an independent contractor, Guru acts as a market place and mediator and makes sure you get paid for your work.
The basic Guru membership is free. You have to browse their list of projects and bid on those you think you can do, then the employer selects the best bid.
It's the only REAL online work I've found after spending 4 years looking everywhere else and losing a bit of money to scams.

Maybe you have seen a lot of job posts, similar as following, at many websites.
For example: DATA ENTRY, 300-500 DOLLARS A WEEK.
If you contact to the employers, these employers will tell you that you need to send money for training materials or other materials. If you send them money, what you get is a 3 pages letter which tell you how to post an ad to get other people to give you money, FOR NOTHING! It is a huge scam. Of course, not all data entry jobs are scam. However, beware all jobs that ask your money first!

Hi
Some work at home jobs are legitimate,
you just need to be careful about which ones you consider becoming involved with.
I have finally found a plan that is a new & unique home based income opportunity
http://superhomeincomeplan.myworldpower.com/
It is a simple plan that not only gives you potential for earning lots of money, it can also save you money each month by providing discounts on name brand items you may already purchase quite often.
The start up fees are very reasonable when you consider it includes your own personalized websites, along with automatically tracking your progress. The discounts alone could easily pay for the program, so have have minimal risk with chance for high rewards if you are willing to take action.
Please click the link above & take the free tour. I will gladly explain more if you are interested : )
Best Wishes for a $uce$$ful future !

I came across Adsense. I started it while I had my nine to five job and worked on a few blogs and then started websites as time went by. Now I stopped my nine to five and work on this from home. It takes minimal effort on my part. I learn everything I can about websites and promotion and put it in practice. One of those is in the source box that explains all. Good luck. Its free too.

YES. They absolutely are. They really make them sound like a good idea, but all along they are trying to rip you off. I have a real data entry position. Working from home IS an option to long time employees. You would have to go out and apply for a data entry job, and then see what their policy on working from home is.
