Please explain how womens breast size is measured. I have seen some ladies who wear a C cup and look a lot bustier then someone who wears a D cup. Why is that doesn't the cup size mean their breast size is bigger? I know it's not the bra. they just look bigger...so maybe you can tell me what the difference is.

it IS the bra, AND the proportions of the woman. D is bigger than C

The number measure is the measurement of the chest size, taken just underneath the breast. For example, 36 inches.

The next measurement is taken at the fullest area of the breast, also in inches. The difference from that and the first measurement is the cup size.

If the woman measured 36 on the first measurement and 38 on the second, she would be a B cup (2" difference). If she measured 39 on the second, she would be a C cup (3" difference).

So there is a HUGE difference between a 42D and a 36D. Not only is the chest bigger, but the cup is significantly larger.

Mostly, though, the difference is because of the way a woman carries herself or dresses. An ill-fitting bra can make a woman look smaller (or larger) than she actually is.

Fab, DDD is not the biggest. they go into the f' s and thru the alphabet, even thru the K's and those are some big Boobies.

Not a woman. But I think it has to do with the design of the bra.
Back in the 50's they wore the bullet bra's. All the women pointed at you right from their chests.

The Bra's were cone shaped and made the breasts stand up and out and pointed at attentions.

And, the sweater was popular then to. I wonder, why?

A women with a 34-36 DDD cone shape bra Really pointed way on out there for-sure.

The inches or number measurement is the number used to measure just under the breasts when buying a bra. The alphabet lettering refers to cup size of the bra.

AAA is the smallest, then it goes to double A then single A, still the smallest. Then it goes to B, C, D, E, F, and so forth. There can be double D, E, and F, measurements.

I'm a C cup, but I've seen some B cups that look bigger than me. A lot of the time, it is to do with the band size they wear. For example, the C cup on a 32C is smaller than the C cup on a 34C. I'm not 100% sure why, I think it's to do with the width of the cup size on different band sizes.

Yes, it's complicated, if you think about it for too long, your head might explode! lol

Take care : )

IT ALL GOES BY THE SIZE OF THE WOMEN SHE CA BE SMALL BUT HAVE BIG BREASTS WHICH WILL MAKE THE CUPS BIGGER THAN THE MEASUREMENTS AROUND THE BACK. for EXAMPLE A 36 C IS SMALLER THAN AN 34 DD

ok take 34b... 34 is the measurement around back.. the thorax' circumference.... and B is the cup size.... so A is the smallest and DDD is the biggest... definitely a D is bigger than a C.... maybe the difference you saw was about firmness.
