It is not a new tuning, with as many as 15,625 possible tuning’s for a six-string guitar, that one is in the top10. Tune down 2 whole steps from standard tuning. Just go down to the 1st. fret on the 6th.string for the F note, tune the 5th string to that note. Use the 5th.fret method tuning from there, making the 1/2 step down, adjustment on the 3rd. string to the 4th.fret for tuning the 2nd. string, of course. Now that you've made it that far, go back down to the 5th. string at the 7th. fret and tune the 6th. string to that note. I suggest learning the chromatic scale: A-A#/Bb-B-C-C#/Db-D-D#/Eb-E-F-F#/Gb-G-G#/Ab and where these note are on the fingerboard when tuned to standard tuning, and where they are when tuned to an alternate tuning. Also, a chromatic tuner is a great tool to have for these tuning situations.

Whats the prob. Skin? That's a step down tuning. If you have a note specific tuner Set it to each "note" in order and tune as you always do. C F Bb Eb c
