I don't know...with practice you can get good at doing make up, but most make up artists have a natural knack for doing make up to perfection...it's an art. Do you know any other make up artists who could teach you some tricks?
Videos aren't good for learning how to do make up, books with lots of pictures are. The best two books are Making Faces (it's a book actually written by a famous make up artist, tons of different looks and tecniques!) and Allure: Confessions of a Beauty Editor...the editor of Allure magazine wrote every trick she knows about make up, hair, and skincare in the book. Its amazing. You can find both of them in any book store.

Ummmmm... I personaly don't know how to find a dvd to learn how to wear makeup but theres a couple books search on google for makeup tips or go to the library and ask for makeup books :) good luck

Look on behindthechair.com, there are usually ads for things. Also, if you get the Nouvelle Esthetics magazine, it lists videos and dvds. A great book to get is called Making Faces by Kevyn Aucoin. He was a genius make-up artist!
