So, my husband and I have been trying to have another baby for a couple months now and I took ovulation tests so i know that we had sex durring the week leading up to ovulation. I have been having weird cramp like things happening for about a week, sore breasts, and a thick white discharge. I know all these are signs of pregnancy, but the test i took (which is supposed to detect pregnancy 5 days before missed period) was negative. I am supposed to start my period this friday. (in 4 days) Do you think I tested too early and my body is playing tricks on me, or could i still have a chance?

yes you tested to early...it is best no matter what to wait until after you have MISSED your cycle as to ensure implantation. You may be just experiencing signs of AF...they are so similar that most woman do not know they are pregnant until they are 6 to 8 wks pregnant! So best to relax and just wait it out, don't worry I am right there with you. And I know it is easier said then done, DH and I too are TTC for 2 years now...just starting working more closely with our doctor for conception after 2 losses...

Sometimes when you think your pregnant your body will go through the motion of being pregnant. But you still may be and you can test up until 5 days before but sometimes it takes for you miss your cycle so wait a day or so and take another one. Good Luck to you and your husband!! Ohh BTW- I took 4 pregnancy tests a week after I missed my cycle with this pregnancy and they all were Neg. Needless to say I am pregnant and its TWINS.

Try taking the test again after you miss your period, false negatives happen alot when using an early test.

You still have a chance. Mine didn't show a positive until the day I missed my period and it was very faint. It was probably too early to take a test.

Those early tests if you read the box are only 65% accurate early...I'd wait it out till Fri (I know its hard) but hang in there. Use first morning urine first thing Friday morning as it always has the highest concentrations of HCG.

I think you just tested to early. Don't worry yourself too much you still have a chance. Good luck

There is always a chance, jsut test a bit closer to your period.

Yup. You need to relax- & stop trying so hard. Go on vacation. Do something absorbing- whatever. Take the "object" out of love-making with your husband, & just do it for the "fun" of it. "Life Happens..."- spontaniously; & that's when other things "happen". :) Enjoy yourself- & good luck. :)

I think that you should wait a week or two and test again.
Until your body is ready to tell you, we can't tell you if you're pregnant.

your probably about to get your period, ive had that happen to me without being pregnant. like sore breasts
