By Position:

C - I think he'll be the best catcher this season
1B - Expected to have a good year, but slump last year leaves doubt
2B - Only value is AVG and some runs
3B - fading each year
SS - speculative young player, I think you're OK
OF - Very nice
Util - good power, but weak avg and no SB

SP - Age and health a concern, but all good pitchers strong group
RP - Wainwright may start this year, Hoffman only true value

By Category:

HR - will win this cat 40-50%
RBI - will win this cat 35-40%
AVG - Weak
Runs - will win this cat 50%
SB - win maybe 20%

W - should win this most weeks
S - rarely win
K - should win this most weeks
ERA - if RJ move to NL helps, you're good here
Whip - if RJ move to NL helps, you're good here too

NOTE: Hang on to Papelbon. If he moves back to closer that would help you immensely in that CAT.

Juan Rivera is hurt and not starting the season.

You have lots of maybes on this team. I think you'll finish mid-pack in a 12 team standard league.

C: Brian McCann
Top 2 catcher= A+
1B Mark Teixeira
Assuming he was your 2nd rd pick, he's not great but very good. A-

2B Freddy Sanchez, Orlando Hudson
I consider him one of the best 2Bs in MLB.
Hudson is a pointless backup. He's a 1-postion under .290 BA, under 18 HRs, under 90 Rs, under 10 SBs, and under 70 RBIs guy. Drop and get the best pitcher availble. But he's not your starter, so it's not that bad. B

SS Stephen Drew
This guy has a lot of potential, but until he proves it, he's not that. What if he busts? You don't have a back-up. SS is weak for you buddy. C+

3B Melvin Mora
Isn't that good, but OK. C+

OF A. Soriano, B. Abreu, A. Rios, J. Rivera
Soriano=STUD! Abreu is good. Rios is on the rise. If he adds 5+ HRs, 10+ RBIs, and 5+ SBs, he'll be very good. Rivera is a good back-up. But if Abrei and Rios don't increase thier HR totals, your power is going to be a weakness. Your OF gets a A-

UT Nick Swisher
If he can just get to the 30-100 status, he's pretty good.
B+

SP Schilling, Big Unit, Papelbon, Rogers, Glavine, Olsen, Sanchez
Shacky guys. Johnson with his 5.00 ERA, Schilling gets injured too much. Olsen has ERA problems too. Rogers and Glavine are good. Sanchez is pretty good too. But ERA is a problem. B possibly B-

RP Hoffman, Fuentes, Wainwright
Wainright is probably going to be a starter. Fuentes has a high ERA for a closer. Hoffman is a good closer.
B- at best.
Total: 7.5 out of 10.
Hope this helped!

That is a really great team. Batting order 1-9 you have 8 above average players (not sure about Stephen Drew...) that are bound to produce on at least every other game. Your Pitching staff is old... but they will get good numbers. I would say with the excepttion of Sancez each starter will get you 12 wins... at least. Plus, Adam Wainwright is a high possibility as a # 4 starter for the Cardinals, in which case you could trade one of your other older starters (Glavine/Johnson) for the long run. Maybe Philip Hughes?>???? good luck and great team

i would give you an 8.
Brian McCann -good catcher but he is not the best there are others like Ivan Rodriguez, Jason Varitek, A.J peirzynski ect. that will have a better year than him.

Mark Texeira- off the ;top of my head i can think of a better first baseman than him. Great Pick!

Freddy Sanchez- Excellent Pick. Being the National league batting champ he was derfinatly a smart pick and hez a good defensive player too.

Melvin Mora- Great. excelent hitter and defensive player. doesnt get much better than him.

Stephen Drew-I've never heard of him. i kno there are manny better picks than him such as Orlando Cabrera, Alex gonzalez, Julio lugo, derek jeter, michael young Ect.

Alfonso Soriano-perfect! one of the best all around players in the gme today. the guy can hit run an play the field.

Bobby Abreu-good. there are better like . vernon wells vladamir guerreo ect but great pick anyways.

Alex Rios-great pick like soriano he can hit run and play the feild.

nick swisher - very godd person for utility i would even start him at first base every once and a while.

Orlando Hudson-good pick he can get on base. but he does tend to strike out alot and he is not the most powerful one in the game but good pick.

juan Rivera- same as hudson not a very powerful guy nor is he very quick but he'll help your team.

Curt Schilling-great pick. he win be winning a lot of games this year the red sox will produce a lot of runs wich will help him as far a wins go.

Randy Johnson-he will probably do ok. since he is with a franchise hez been with before that may help him but not many of the same players as back in 2001 when he won the world series.

jonathan papelbon- good pick he is one of the best closer if francona decides to leave him in that spot but even as a started he might struggle at first and then get the hang of it and be an important contributer to your team.

Kenny Rogers- is a great pick. on top of being a good pitcher he will have a lot of run support so he will be getiing you wins.

Tom Glavine- being on the mets he has an explosive offense so that will get you some wins but he is getting older like schilling and rogers so that might become a factor. plus the shoulder issues could sideline him for a little while.

Scott Olsen-he does play for the marlins that could help him or hurt him as far as wins go. his era could become an issue ussually you want a pitcher to have an era under 3 his over the past two years has been 3.98 and 4.04 wich couold be a threat to your team.

Anibal Sanchez- already proven himself a good pitcher with that no hitter last season.

Trevor Hoffman- definatly a great closer. last year becoming the all time save leader will be a great boost of confidence for him wich will help him as a pitcher which will help your team

Brian Fuentes- a good pick.his ERA has been a little high since he join the majors but he'll be good for you team.

Adam Wainwright- good choice. his era can be a little high at times but he is having a great spring training

the team right now is a B-, but you have the tools to make it an A. melvin mora is useless, so slide sanchez over to third, start hudson over at second, and your offesne will be solid all around. if you can, package rivera and swisher for a better player at teh util-spot, because swisher's stats collapsed after last year. your pitching is good, but old. the big unit is injured, but you can likely place him on DL once season starts, so dont worry about that. i really would try to trade papelbon for another closer. package fuentes, wainwright, and papelbon for a very solid closer. your starting pitching will be just fine with all the veteran.s ull be just fine :)

not bad. great catcher, teix will have a big rebound year, drew is young but has tons of upside. fons will be great with lee and ramirez behind him. abreu should be good too in that yankee lineup. rios should be good too. swisher is inconsistent, he started off really hot then cooled a lot.
pitching is not bad, only concern would be strikeouts since rogers doesnt get many. also might need more saves. rockies wont be winning that much and i think wainwright will be a starter.

3B is a little weak and you have a lot of Marlin pitchers, i just hope that they don't break down on you. I would give you a 6. not championship quality but with the right trades and free agent pickups you could get there.

your pitching is a little too old, so it wont be as effective...ur pretty stacked offensively, but trade to get some better pitchers, johnson n rogers, maybe olsen who was a little shakey...6 out of 10 rating

its a good team but I agree withthe rest you should make a few trades. trade off the older pichers for some younger ones (trade 2 for1) or move some off your hitters for pitching then fill the rest from the waiver wire.

its an okay lineup... i don't think your going to do that great. you need position players who are young and proven... who will give you the numbers. For the pitchers GET RID OF THE OLD GUYS! they aren't what they used to be.
