I Have a HW abut drugs in India, anyone knows more or less what kind is used here? i want to know if there is a drug program, and check what happens with drug users in india, how are them threated. is it a big or a small problem?. what kind of people are the users? ritch people, poor people?the most users live in the big citys or outside the towns? are there some areas, citys, states who are famous vor opium or heroine or haschisch. from where comes the stuff which used in india? comes it from pakistan or afganhistan or they are produced by india himself? thanks

I imagine it woul be opium, or one of the other drugs manufactured using the poppy plant. That, and I understand marijuana is used pretty commonly in the region.

haha glad i stumbeled across this, okay my roommate last year was from new delhi and we're both stoners so i may be able to anwser a few of these questions and as for the rest i'll ask him tomarrow and post again if you want me to. they mainly produce opium and haschhich which they are very well known for. they dont concider drugs to be a real problem mainly because it is a thrid world country therefore they have bigger issuses to tackel. i dont know if they really have a drug problem. most drugs are illegal but you can either by off the poilce and government when needed. the drugs are used by people of every social class since they arent very expensive over their. my roommate raghav says he can buy a pound of hash for about 5 dollars american. but the users are all all around the country but alot of farmers also use the drugs that they produce. im not sure where the most famous places are that produce the so called best drugs but i'll look into it. but most of the worlds opium comes from afghanstan. if you have more questiions feel free to email me.

i dont know it might be opium becoz it was produced when india was under british rule to be xported to china in xchange for tea
