I do. I believe that the concept of gender is totally derived from the human idealization of sex. Gender = conceptual. Sex= biological absolute. What's your opinion? Nature or nurture? Both?

Well, if you asked someone if they wanted to have gender with you, they'd give you a goofy look.

I don't know if there's difference. Moreover I believe that the real point is being able to distinguish between our beliefs about sex/ gender and what they actually are. Are gender and sex maybe nothing in themselves without our beliefs on them?

i think gender and sex are the same, and are determined by genetics. People who have a self concept different from their biological realities are just insane. xx = female xy = male xxy= hermaphroditic mutation

Well, when job applications, doctor's forms, etc. asked "gender" they were referring to your biological gender...same if they asked for your sex--it would have M F check one.

Gender refers to identity and the conventions surrounding someone's sex. Sex refers to someone's identity with regards to their reproductive organs.
