the hole where i plug the amp cord in the washer and screw keep coming off and i have no idea how to fix it.

It would probably be quite tough to fix it yourself. I'm sure that your local music store does guitar repairs for a resonable price.

I would use some sort of short adapter/extension cord and leave it plugged in all of the time.

just take a wrench and screw it on tighter nothing much you can do about that one happens to me all of the time i always just check it before i plug my 1/4" cable into it
