ie. how do i troublshoot my 2002 pontiac grand prix?

brand new air filter, and it's starting to sputter and miss fire occasionally. BTW, it does have a supercharger on the 3.8l engine.

Replace the MAF sensor.

It means literally that the mas air flow sensor is sending a low voltage "input" to the computer. This can be caused by a dirty sensor. It must be cleaned verry carefully, since the sensor uses very tiny wires to "induce" the right voltage.

A soft bristle tooth brush works, use it lightly with some carburetor cleaner, "lightly"....

BTW, are you using an after market air filter, where you soak it in oil and squeeze it out? Pontiac has a bulletin out about that fouling the sensor...

means your car isnt getting enough air. check the air filter. could be a faulty air flow sensor.
