No. Politicians are supposed to look out for your best interest, not give you a voice. Some people just shouldn't be heard. Your vote is your voice. It wouldn't be in our best interest if 67% of the people thought we should nuke Mexico to the stem the tide of immigrants.

You have got to be kidding! McCain is going to do what traditional campaigners do. He will pledge and promise what the majority want to hear and then, he will run his own presidency.
On you and your husbands behalf, he will probably upgrade or increase military presence to insure victory in Iraq. I for one will be happy to see that. But, he also has the qualification to get us in a lot more trouble.
Here's the thing though, there was this guy from Arizona who ran for president back in the sixties. America was at war and he promised he would end the conflict by winning. His name was Goldwater, everyone liked him but, I don't think he even made through the primaries.
The US voting public are a weird bunch, it's hard telling who they will ultimately elect. Fortunately, when the military is in battle, politicians don't have much too say. As you already know and I've know for decades, we are the best in uniform!
God Speed to your husband.

I would doubt that he will ever read the answers that he received, some would make to much sense and he might go into overload. The power of the simple vote seems to be lost in America with less then 50% turn out and that is what has allowed the president and congress to get so far out of control. The only way to change this is to hold the people in congress accountable by voting.

While Senator McCain is only one man, I do believe he listens to others and has a better feel for what his constituents want and expect.

Be grateful McCain has taken a break from backstabbing fellow Republicans and writing unconstitutional bills with liberals.
