Realize that a man of character wouldn't do that.

The question is: Were they true or were they stated with malice and an intention to wound or insult you?
If the former, then take a good look at yourself and resolve to correct a fault or faulty action on your part, if the latter, then ignore it for what it is, a desire to have the last word on your ex boss' part, which is the hallmark of aggressive personalities and if so, there was nothing you could have done to prevent it. So forgive yourself and let it go.

Thank God or the Universe for this opportunity which shows you exactly the kind of person you won't ever be and how NOT to treat others. This person came into your life for a purpose, to teach you something (unbeknownst to him or her) at a psychic or spiritual level. Take this as lesson from the universe and be thankful for it. Forgive your boss and move on. Don't hang on to the bitterness. I know it's a lot harder than it sounds. Remember, unforgiveness is like drinking poison, hoping the other person will die. They won't, it will only hurt YOU. Also forgive yourself for not reacting to the situation at the moment, for not saying all those things you thought about saying back to him or her after the fact. It was very likely better for you not to say them.

Good luck and God bless!

Parting insults? I would have confronted him then and there. To be honest, I would let it go, you are better then him. If he is the type of person that has to demean someone else, he lives in his own miserable hell of insecurities. If you want you can confront him and tell him it was uncalled for and you didn't appreciate it and your quite happy you are no longer working for him. Or simply move on and next time someone tries to put you down for whatever reason , please defend yourself and simply walk away from these shalllow, ignorant jerks.
Best wishes.

Find where the person in their life drinks and move on them.

If they are the same sex as you or not your type, get a friend to do it.

Photos and phone calls when it happens should make you happy.

In the UK? call me for girls, other than that, good luck.

Reminds me of an old traditional song that Bob Dylan did: "I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more..."

Jettison the crap from the bilge pump and move on. No need to let it slow you down.

Not your problem.
Do not even examine them for validity or factuality. They are dismissable.
