You could write and sell a great screenplay. Then go hang out on the set when the movie is shot. And then when your script is nominated for an Oscar you'll be invited to all the parties and you're all set.

Sometimes a direct approach works well - I have emailed a few through their website and received excellent responses and sometimes invitations to meet them! I have met a few over the years - very famous band members, actors and politicians I am not obsessed by celebrity status but, as a freelance writer, I am curious about the lives these individuals lead. They are busy people so if you tell them exactly what you want (eg a backstage pass on such-and-such a night) they can be very accommodating. They are only people, after all, and they have to keep the public sweet.
I think you stand a better chance, too, if you write well and use a little humour and creativity.

I have met several. You need to be in the right place at the right time. If they like a certain sporting event, then be there the same night they are. You really have to be creative. It really depends on who you want to meet. Do your homework and you will do just fine.

spend alot of time in airports or go to major cities, well i live in NYC so the best place for you to see celebrities in NYC is in Hells Kitchen, MSG, Times Sq, Midtown Manhattan and if wanna know about airports try LaGuardia and JFK though i dont know about the rest of NY, i hope this helps you in your search for famous Celebrities
