If it's extremely hard, like a traumatic injury, your brain could shift forward and then back inside the skull cavity. Which in turn, could cause swelling and a possible bleed/bruise to the brain. Or, you could just bust your head open requiring stitches. Knock yourself out, or suffer a fracture to the skull. Just use your imagination. Or in some cases, you could see stars. That's happened to me before.
