What did Charles Darwin observe on the Galapagos Islands that he thought was the result of evolution?

Some insects look just like sticks. How could this be an advantage to the insects? How could this trait have evolved through natural selection?

1. He observed that each Island of the Galapogos had birds with beaks that were ideal to the type of fruit or nut near it.
2. Insects that look like sticks can either hide from predators or not be seen by their prey so this is an advantage for surviving

Charles Darwin studied those Galapagos Birds. he realized that on each island, the same species had different beaks for the different foods that they had available.

the insects that looked like sticks weren't eaten by birds becasuse they looked too much like a tree branch.this solves natural selection. plus, they could catch their prey without being eaten.
