I'm 20 weeks pregnant and I have the same problem. My soda of choice before pregnancy was Coke, but it tastes like acid now. If you're having trouble staying away from caffiene (believe me, I understand) I would recommend trying a different type of soda. I've found that other sodas are fine in small doses. Try things without caffiene too, like root beer and sierra mist. Sometimes the bubbles are enough =) .
Also, don't beat yourself up about drinking soda while pregnant. Yes, it's not healthy. Yes, caffiene does cross the placenta and enter the baby's blood stream. But there have been several tests that have shown that 2 servings of caffiene a day will not affect your baby in the long run. Above 2 servings, you increase your chance of miscarriage. I've limited my intake to one serving a day or less and my baby is healthy so far =). Congrats and good luck!

Hey hun, I'm sorry to say but caffeine is not what you should be drinking during pregnancy, it can race the baby's heart. It kinda has a little of an affect like a drug to the baby, that baby is not even an inch small yet, consider how the caffiene affetcs it esp around 5 wks and up. I think the acid feeling is because when your prego you have more acid reflux than when your not prego. Take care.

when you are pregnant your body produces more acid in your stomach. Carbonated drinks can increase this effect and give you heart burn. Cut back on the carbonated drinks. You might want to give it some time until you get used to it before drinking soda again.

Welcome to acid reflux that comes with pregnancy. Yes, carbonation makes it worse. If you drink lots of water (in little sips) it might help, also Tums and Mylanta. ALWAYS check the medicine bottle to see if it is safe before you take it while you are pregnant.
When you are pregnant, you need lots of fluids - water is best. Soda, and any caffeinated drink, actually takes water out of your body (it is a diuretic). Sugary drinks are also not as hydrating as water, and will help you gain more weight than you want! Stick to just plain water, if you can.

I woudn't drink soda, it's not healthy anyway, it could be because you have heartburn, and soda is not gonna help. Try drinking water or gatorade, not soda.

You are really early to have anything bothering you just yet...but if you say it is burning then either switch soft drinks to juice which is better for the baby or drink less amounts!

your body changes majorly and different foods and drinks cause different reactions...i cant drink juice because it burns me so bad inside. youre probably going to have acidity/heartburn problems. that happened to me, its manageable. just try to stick to water and low sodium foods. good luck!!!
