my fish have what look like little pinholes in their heads. but i cant tell if they are real holes or not. can some one provide me with some pictures or links to some pictures so i can come up with a prognosis

HITH disease presents as an erosion of the surface of the fish's skin around the head and is usually combined with LLD (lateral line disease).
It typically is a result of stress brought on by very poor water conditions and poor diet over a long period of time.
Most fish have tiny holes in their heads that are sensory organs. You will know the difference when you see the picture.

treatment:
Metronidazole 250 mg per 10 gallons. Treat it everyday for 5-7 days. Do 50% W/C daily. Temperature should be 88-90 degrees...

I don't have a picture but it sounds like your fish may have it. Treat the water for it, it can't hurt. I had that problem with my Oscar fish when they were fed live fish. It's nasty looking & spreads rapidly. My fish responded well to treatment. I bet if you do a yahoo search you can find pictures. If you feed live fish I would quit & avoid the possible problems associated with it.
