The loudest noise in the world is said to have been the eruption of the volcanic island of Krakatoa in Indonesia near Sumatra. When this exploded in August 1883 the sound was destinclively heard as far away as Perth West Australia (approx 1930 miles or 3100km) and in the Mauritius (approx 3000miles or 4800km). This eruption was said to have almost completely destroyed the island and the death toll was approx 36 417 (official toll). Since 1927 futher eruptions have rebuilt the island now called Anak Krakatoa and and raising concerns of another cataclysmic eruption from this volcano.

Some noises don't happen very often, when krackatoa blew its top, it was heard more than 2000 miles away, if a super-volcano went off, it would be more devastating but I don't know if it would make itself heard further away. An atomic bomb can be heard about 100 miles from its point of detonation. After volcanos and atomic bombs its all downhill. Probably the next rank would be the largest conventional explosions, hard to say after that.

The eruption of Krakatoa (in 1883) made the largest noise in modern times. The exploding volcano was heard thousands of miles away across the Indian Ocean. And the sonic shock wave (inaudible to humans, but detected on air pressure monitoring equipment) circumnavigated the planet not once, but twice.

I don't know what the current loudest noise is, but the loudest noise ever was the explosion of Krakatoa.

When Krakatoa erupted it could be heard thousands of miles away. But a supervolcano might be heard by every single person on the planet.
