I've known him for 9 years, but I moved away like 4 years ago (400 miles) and I visited him a year and half ago, but I talk to him on the phone a lot...how can I like him? He's 400 miles away i'm soooo confused and I really miss him I just don't know what to do, I told him I liked him but he said were just friends, is he lying because he doesn't wanna get hurt? Or is he serious?? HELP!?!?!?!?!?!

Okay, I'm not saying this is the case, but sometimes, we as people crave and desire things that we either can't have, or know that it is not possible. It's a little mind game that the mind and body play on you. You may have known this guy for a great period of time, but don't you ever wonder why you never liked him before when you could see him everyday? Hang out with him when desired? It is something to think about... He is probably being honest with you.

Long distance relationships are tough. You need to spend quite a bit of time with someone in order to have a relationship with them.
I do understand that you care though. Falling for your best friend is awesome. Your soul mate is suppose to be your best friend.
A relationship like this is rare and should be handled delicately.
I would say find a way to spend some time with him. I mean you've known him for 9 years, that's a long time. Now you need to spend some quality time together to see if you are compatible.
I hope you come to the best decision for you.

With a 400 mile realtionship, you are not likely to get very far, unless you plan on moving back or visiting frequently. I am sorry to say, but it may not be worth the effort, and I know you really dont want to hear that. But, you may want to move on. He may be afriad of that happening, or he really doesnt like you.

It's hard to like someone far away from you but if you follow your heart everything will be fine. Maybe he's not the right guy, or maybe he is. Your the only one who knows, so go this the flow.

If you have expressed yourself to him and he says its a lie, he probably means it. I think you have to make him tell you if he wants you or not so you know if you should move on with your life and not wait for a hopeless cause. Cos you might be in love with him but he may not be in love with you.

I say wait it out. Dont be pushy just be yourself and wait for him. If he doesnt like you then at least it wont because u drove him away and if he does, he will eventually come to his senses and tell you. Play it cool and wait for it. Let me know how everything goes and good luck! _-*Sarah*-_

It sounds like he wants to be friends. Unless he's really shy and doesn't want to admit his feelings, or if he's been hurt by past relationships and doesn't want to be hurt again.
