My landlord has asked me to move because she is selling the condo that I live in FL. I have 4 mos. left on my lease. What should be my entitled compensation for my early lease termination by April 30, 2007? I did pay a first, last, and security.

Your landlord asked you to move out before your lease expired? This is your oyster, buddy. Find out how much he is willing to give up in exchange for your moving. He must have gotten sweet deal on the sale of the condo.

Speak to an attorney. You have a contract and every party is expected to perform as per contract. You can sue your landlord for specific performance and get some money out of her. You can even put a restraining order on the place while your situation is not resolved and prevent them from closing on a deal. Talk to an attorney first, and then talk to your landlord and see what is he or she is willing to do for you. We are not talking last month rent and deposit, we are talking a compensation for you having to move out. If this thing goes to court the landlord loses most of the time, because judges take tenants side when in doubt. There is actually no doubt here -- the landlord must perform per contract.

you should get back the months that you will not be there to the end of your tenancy. in england it's illegal to throw some one out because the apartment is sold...you have to take the tenant on till the end of your tenancy over here. check your position with a solicitor. oh and you should also get the deposit back because they have broken the tenancy agreement....unless there was an early termination clause in your contract. seek legal advice. good luck.
