i'm not sure i understand what the problem is. 5'9" at your weight sounds very healthy and fit! i would say wear what you want. your idea of a cut out one piece is fine and the first answer you received here saying you should wear black.....is bad!
you wear what you want, what makes you comfortable and what makes you feel good about yourself! wear whatever color you want and if you really are concerned about a bit of a tummy usually a pattern will help disguise it better than a solid color because the eye is so busy with the pattern a bit of tummy won't be noticed.
go out and have fun!

What about a two piece that meets. You know the top looks like a tank top type of thing and it meets the bottom around the hips. The beauty about these is they are less restrictive than a one piece but still cover up well. Also if you get a nice set you can wear the top with a skirt or capris or whatever.

Wear a tankini with a bikini bottom. The bikini bottom will exagerate your nice legs and the tanktop will take atttention away from your stomach.
Make sure you match well with your skin complexion. If you're really tan, stick to a darker color like brown. It will make all of you blend together, instead of drawing attention to places you don't want to be noticed as much. If you're more pale, definitely stay away from anything dark in color. It will only create a huge contrast and anything you were trying to hide will stick out like a sore thumb.
Hope this helps!

I am the same height and have the same problem. I still wear a bikini and just sorta suck in the extra. Plus don't worry about it because have you seen some of the ppl who come out of the house in tiny little bathing suits and a not so tiny tummy.
No offence or anything but think about it so really your problem might not be that bad.

a 1 piece would be the most appropiate, until you get your weight down to where you want to be,then you can wear a 2 piece bikini.

well You look just like me and i just went swimsuit shopping!
Get one that goes over your belly Like a shirt and have the bottom like short shorts. NO ONE PIECE I haven't wore one piece since I Was 6. But you will look great and feel comfortable.
Go You!

Depends on what you're comfortable in. If you don't want to show your midrif, than I think a one piece makes sense.
