The reason is because it does not PUSH the BUSH agenda and viewpoint !! To Neocons, if you are not dead center and hardline in step with every agenda point and policy of the Bush and Republican "thing" --- then you not only are wrong --but damned near Communist-- and lacking the guts to say what they truly think of people or organizations that see things differently than them -- they sling the word "liberal" at anything that does not FIT that guideline !!!!

I quit thinking it was after the Iraq War started, especially since they tried selling the war just as much as Fox did. I'll never go back...
I've heard on occasion of a liberal channel here and there but nothing ever seems to come of it.
Perhaps we need to get rid of the labels, and, in my opinion, just "bashing" the conservatives only brings one down to their level. I think most of us are truly tired of the negativity and hate. Informing others what kind of people the conservatives in power are and the methods they use to divide all of us, and the reasoning behind that, might work better.

You have it, it is called every paper in the united states, abc, nbc, cbs, msnbc, and just about every other news outlet there is out there. You say Fox is just a news out let to bash libs? You should face it you can't stand the fact that there is a news agency out there that tells the other side of the story, and if you think it is just there to bash libs what is your side always doing day in and day out to any Conservative. You do not report the real news just lies, and depression. Let me ask you a q. does CNN ever tell the good of what is going on in Iraq, and what about Afghanistan? CNN seems to have forgotten that country ,oh I know why, there is no doom and gloom coming from there.

The news is not supposed to bash any party. It's purpose is to inform the public of what is going on in this country. When they pick a side they lose all credibility. The only program worth listening to is Lou Dobbs. He is an independent, who just gives the facts. The only side he is on, is the side of legal Americans, as all American news programs should be.

Because CNN is a liberal channel
http://www.cnn.com/US/9807/02/tailwind.johnson/
"All Americans should know the 16 men who conducted this mission were heroes, but they have been hurt by this (CNN/TIME) report," Cohen said.
CNN retracted its story at the beginning of July. CNN News Group Chairman, President and CEO Tom Johnson said that an independent investigation had concluded that the report "cannot support" the claims made in the "NewsStand: CNN and Time" program.
The CNN report prompted an outcry among military veterans and raised probing questions from other journalists"

If you want to know what's really going on, read news sources from outside the US as well as net-based independent media. We have the internet, so it's not as though it's difficult to do.
Here are some places to get started, you'll find more linkson their sites:

for one thing the 'only purpose' of fox news is not to bash libs. it's to tell the conservative side of the stories. and the libs do have their own stations, like CNN, CNBC, ABC, CBS and i don't know.....most the major stations? The so called 'conservatives' they have are that only in name. Every news station out there pretty much only tells one side of the story, thats just the way it is. If you don't like the so called 'bashing' of Fox then don't watch it.
