Unlike cats or dogs, turtles can hear darker frequencies better than high ones. So pick a name with dark vowels, such as O, U, and A.
How about one of these:

Wow, 1st of all, how did u know he would be a boy but not a girl. I have a pair of red eared that almost pass a year old. They r practicing "matual activity" so i know which one is boy and girl. I named the boy Miki and the girl Mimi. Hope u could come up something cuter. ^^

Just FYI- there is no such thing as a 'red ear snapping turtle'- it is either a 'Red-ear slider' or a snapper (Common snapper or Alligator snapper)
