I DID!!! i was in the pushing stage of labor tho(also a home birth) i would not suggest doing it to induce labor cuz it doesn't always work and leaves you and baby susceptible to infections and it can make labor more painful..... it was kinda weird it felt like a balloon and it was really tough stuff its two layer thick too! when i finally popped it i got a Lil bit of thee heebie jeebies but i thinks that's just cuz it was such a strange thing to do I'm glad i did it tho made the pushing stage go quicker and I'm all about that lol

if you want to feel what its like do the raw egg in vinegar experiment: put a raw egg in vinegar...(obvious step) then leave it in the fridge for a few days until all the shell breaks down and the membranes toughen up ull have a semi see thru rubbery egg its cool and its also pretty much what ur bag of waters is like.....at least in my expereance

NO NO NO!!! This should only be done by a licensed or trained professional or of course by nature! There have been some old fashioned remedies such as the use of castor oil but many doc frown upon this!! Besides it tastes awful!

No. Do you know that there are 2 sets anyway; the fore waters and the hind waters. Any fannying about with popping them yourself could lead to serious infection..

Honestly DO not do that...it is not healthy for you or the baby...if you are going in to labor and your water has not broke they will do that in the hospital...where it is safe!!!

Please do not think of doing this...unless of course you are speaking of being in the hospital and doing it under the care of your doctor. Then it would be pretty neat, but hard to reach and see, hmmm..

no... my doctor told me always to be very careful with yourself because if the amniotic sac is broken and the baby or his/her head isnt in a desirable position ( engaged and head down), his/her cord can prolapse..leading to nutrients and oxygen being cut off and it could be fatal.
