PSYCHIC is somebody who claims or is believed to be sensitive to nonphysical or supernatural forces and a PSYCHO is a slang or offensive term for somebody who has a psychiatric or personality disorder.

A psychic is someone who can know the future or know an event that is about to happen...a supernatural gift.
A psycho (short for psychotic) means someone is insane or sees things that aren't there and hears voices that aren't there.
Lots of psychics are really psychotics...

A psychic is the one who can see paranormal things, things which a normal person whoes senses are not that acute cannot see. whereas a psycho is one who is abnormal or mentally unstable and unable to function like a normal person.

a psychic is supposedly embued with talents of a clairvoyant, telepathic, clairaudient, psychometric nature, etc whereas the term psycho comes from the word psychopathic. the popular image is that of a serial killer but that is the utmost extreme version. your average psychopath just isn't very empathetic and forgets birthday and christmas cards and presents because they don't understand the emotional importance of them.
