Can anybody reccomened somewhere for me to take my boyfriend
for his birthday in April?
we went to amsterdam last year for his 40th and we fancy going somwhere again this year, somewhere with a bit of sun and wont cost us an arm and a leg!

I live in Spain, on the Costa Blanca, it is a great place for any type of holiday. The weather will be quite hot in April, good and cheap air flights with Easy Jet and Bmi Baby landing at Alicante. The beaches are sandy all along the coast and El Campello and Benidorm are two different types of places to stay.

If you like port I would recommend Porto. It's fantastic visiting the port lodges and you can also take a boat trip up the river Douro to the vineyards. I took my boyfriend there in May 2003 for his 40th birthday - we had great weather, it didn't cost a lot (apart from the bottle of 40 year old port we bought) we learnt a thing or two about port, discovered whit prt and had a great time.

Spain (malaga) is cheap and lovely weather i went there 2 years ago for easter and the weather was lovely and hot
I have also been told prague is nice, I'm off there for my birthday in april.

Go to Barcelona , sun, beach, cheap and fun. Watch your handbag though lots of thieves in Barcelona.
