Hi Guys,

Do the two of these do essentially the same thing (I know Pro 8 has more features)? I mean, do they both publish flash websites? I would like to know before I make a purchase. Thank you!

No, they don't publish Flash websites. Adobe Flash 8 Professional is used to created Flash for use in websites. Adobe Dreamweaver is used as a GUI for HTML code.

Macromedia Flash Pro 8 creates Flash sites. Dreamweaver is an html editor. You could easily use both. Flash to create the animations and Dreamweaver to make the HTML/ASP code and embed the Flash into your web site
