With so many American families in the automobile and related industries suffering job losses, why doesn't Hollywood do the right thing and start driving American-made hybrids like the Ford Escape? They could win over a lot of people to their "green" cause if they dropped the Toyota Prius in favor of something that could actually help their fellow Americans. Or does "Hollywood" think that they're not really part of America? Have the two coasts lost touch with the heartland?

First of all, American-made hybrids are not "glamourous enough".
Secondly, there's the idea that foreign cars are better, so the "grass is greener on the other side" so to speak.
