Everyone else in the office has no fixed schedule, coming in at 8:03 is not an issue. The women is minortiy she has attitude issues, constantly obeserves and critices everthing I do even if i do nothing wrong. Other people think of her has a *****. My other boss only listens to what she says. I am a peon in the department. I tried to switch department but my second boss would recomend me cause the other boss doesnt like me. Am I being micromanged? Driven out? What should I do?

Suzy, hard advice from an olde veteran. Thing One -- You were looking for a job when you went there. Look again. Thing Two -- At the bottom of your legs there are feet. For a purpose. Don't put up with a lousy job. And, when you leave, don't leave broken glass on the floor. Your reason is that you are seeking opportunities that will provide for more personal growth and responsibility. Doesn't that sound fine? Who could find fault with it? And, BTW, it ought to be true.

Life in the office. Yes it does sound like micro managing. It may be possible she's trying to see what you're all about.
There should be one standard in the department - not a seperate one for you.
Does she value/critique your work?
I guess since you are new - play by the rules - come 5 minutes early - leave a few minutes after close and try to maintain a great attitude. Be positive - If it still persists and you like your job - it's worth saying something or trying to find a new job within your company - or just moving on.

That really stinks - but it's office politics - it's everywhere - and I'm no good playing it. I do my job, am friendly and professional to all - and when I am done - I can stand tall at the end of the day~ I wish the same for you.

You should arrive 10 minutes to 30 minutes early everyday - Leave 5 minutes to 25 minutes pass the 5 pm mark everyday. This type of person has to have something to complain about. If you keep giving her reason to complain, you will not be happy.

Once your time is OK, make sure that you have your duties arranged so that you can get them done. EXCESSIVE lunch time is the other area where problems happen. The three items are the most abused items in the work place.
1. ABSENTEEISM - Failure to appear for work
2. TARDINESS - Late arriving for work or returning from lunch.
3. SLACKER - Present on the job BUT doing no work.

Suzy, I think that you are being driven out. If you have to type correspondence, it may be because your grammar is not up to par and your capitalization is wrong as well. If I were you, I would look for a job that doesn't require you to write anything. It seems she has spotted your weakness in language and is not happy with your work.

I'm sorry, I can't get passed that the 'woman is minority and has attitude issues.' What does being minority have to do with that?
