I'm planning to put together a party for my 21st birthday. Will be inviting 100-150 people..maybe even less. Any ideas on where I can rent a place??

Don't do a hotel; you're not getting married, and you're not on My Super Sweet 16.
If you're doing a club, all of your friends have to be 21 as well, so I would ditch that idea (unless you're literally the youngest of all your friends).
Go to herecomestheguide.com for an easily accessible and informative list of event venues. This is specifically tailored for weddings, but the venues cater any event. You can see how much they charge, see pictures, and check how large their capacity is. Then contact the places that look nice and ask them about having your birthday party there.

There is a club called Time Out in Aliso Viejo.
Some girl had her b-day there....
There are also a ton of hotels too.
Try Embassy Suites for example.
I would do a search for clubs and hotels in that area.
