As a healthcare provider I can tell you that it will not affect birth control medication. However, I usually do a pap test the day I start BCP's.( Or, at least I require that one was done within the past year). If you are seeing your heathcare provider on Wednesday, they can be sure that it is what the cause of your vaginal discharge is. Most yeast infection meds are only needed for one day....how long have you had this problem?....that would be my interest.

Honey you have no worries. Treating a yeast infection isn't going to effect you birth control. Anyway it also depends what type of brith control you are going to get on. If you do the Depo Shot you are protected right away. With the pill you still have to be careful for at least the 1st cycle of pills to be effective. Hope this helps !!!
