Google. They have a section that searches only images. I found my own picture there on a site I had never heard of.

If you google his name you might get something. Why not ask your mom or your grandmother? Relatives usually are the best source for what you are looking for.
Find out where he went to High School and/or college. Maybe some yearbooks somewhere have his picture.

I doubt that your grandfather owned a computer, so unless he was an important person in history, there wouldn't be any.
