It would probably depend on the young players in the MLB developing in the next two years and retiring players but right now, I would probably go with the Yankees. They have so many good young pitchers from trades and drafts. They also have Melky Cabrera who is a good young outfielder with a terrific arm and a lot of potential. If Derek Jeter, Johnny Damon, Mariano Rivera, and Chien-Ming Wang stay on the Yankees then they will have an even better chance.

As cocky as the Phillies are, I think they will beat out the Mets and lose to the Yankees or Red Sox in the World Series.

The Twins, inspired by a September clubhouse appearance by the ghost of Kirby Puckett, go on to the AL Championship only to lose to Detroit as Sparky Anderson counters Kirby by proposing to Johan Santana....

"If I ever find a pitcher who has heat, a good curve, and a slider, I might seriously consider marrying him, or at least proposing."
Sparky Anderson...

Detroit beats the Mets in 7 games.

Yankees will win WS from 2007 thru 2012. Then go on another streak from 2014 thru 2026 and then again in 2028. Jeter will announce his retirement during spring training of 2029 after winning 17 MVP awards.

I'm going with my Tigers.

They still have that great pitching rotation.
Added a big bat in Scheffield
Signed everyone back.

They proved a lot last year and can prove even more this year.
