I'm trying to turn my standard four-string Ibanez into a five-string so as to do some different songs. How would I go about it? Send me a link to a professional website if possible

You could do it, with a ton of work and money. It'd probably end up costing you a pretty penny unless you get second-hand stuff on ebay. Here's what you could do: If its a bolt-on neck, take it off. Remove the pickups, electronics, and bridge as well. You can get a 5-string neck at warmoth.com if you can't find one on ebay. After you get the new neck, you might take note of the nut measurement and use that to buy your new bridge and pickups. Now that you have everything, you'll have to make the neck joint on the body bigger with a router, the same with the pickup spaces. Good luck.

I dont think thats possible because a 4 string bass was only meant to have 4 strings. If theres another way....I would'nt know.

Buy a 5-string, save yourself the aggravation. Sell one of your 4-strings to help finance it.
