No...getting sick made me quit. I've smoked a grand total of two cigarettes in my life and got very sick both times...but I looked cool! My in-laws spend more on tobacco (cigs and smokeless) than they do on their house and car combined.

I quit smoking twenty years ago when the price per pack went up to $1.10. I thought that was extreme, but now they cost almost $5.00 a pack. I used to smoke 3 packs a day and after a while, when I lit up and looked up at the smoke, I began seeing dollar signs going up in that smoke.

I don't smoke, however some of my friends have quit smoking for this reason. I know one woman who decided to quit smoking and each week she would save aside the amount of money she would usually spend on cigarettes, and at the end of the year she accumulated enough money to take her kids to Disney Land. It's a true story. It just goes to show how much money becomes waisted on this stuff, and it's endangering your health at the same time, so it's better to quit.

No not yet, but I still have a job, it is getting pretty close though!.
It is a filthy, nasty habit that I wish I had never started, I can't stand the smell, price or to be around a bunch of smokers, but not quite enough to give up the rotten additive habit......yet.

You know, it was a factor. I did it because my grandfather died of throat cancer also. Yet, here is the clincher...I would have started again, after a week, but, I found out I was pregnant. Stopped me in my tracks, I have not smoked since.

no but I do know the crime rate is going to go stright up, from the ones that can't afford them. But as always the gov. doesn't care about that, they care to much for the money. It's called Control and Greed.
