Yes, those people are very annoying. Short of not asking them any questions in the first place there is not much you can do about them. If you express annoyance they'll take an exception and you don't want any bad feelings to linger even for a moment.
By the way I notice people ask a lot of questions but they are not that interested in the answers so you could just say ... good morning, it's good to see you are well...
