do you think brad pitt is a good actor???

i mean in the sense of really acting ... does he make you believe he is really the character he plays ..... cause to me he really doesn't i really think brad pitts best preformance were fight club and snatch everything else was very average ...

does anybody else notice

Brad Pitt can do some excellent work when he feels like it. Small, off-the-wall roles often work well for him: True Romance, Snatch, Twelve Monkeys.

I enjoyed his work in Troy very much. He'd clearly worked very hard on his muscles and the fight scenes were extraordinarily difficult. He's clearly an actor who's willing to put forth effort, and when he does so he shines.

Other films it feels like he's just phoning it in to earn a paycheck. There was no great chemistry in Mr. and Mrs. Smith, for example. He should have worked out great in Meet Joe Black opposite Anthony Hopkins, but he just never connected with the character.

So my verdict: he has tremendous talent, but it takes the right director and the right role to get him to really shine.

IMO he is an underated guy. Got a lot of talent but he's so good looking and successful that people resent him and don't give him credit. The fact that he does the whole "Hollywood" thing doesn't help him either. But really watch him objectively. He's very good.

i dont think he's good, maybe a little short of being good. if i rate him from 1 being bad, and 10 being great, and 5 being good, i'd say he's a 4. or maybe a 3.75!
i think the acting he did in 'babel' is probably the best that he can do. he was convincing in' fight club' too, but i think that's it, that that's the best it'll ever get.
